The project, estimated at a cost of Rs 53.04 crore, is being undertaken under the Atal Industrial Infrastructure Mission, which aims to enhance large-scale infrastructure upgrades.
Established in 1978 and further developed in 2006-07, the Ramnagar Industrial Area enjoys excellent connectivity due to its strategic location. Situated along National Highway-19, it lies approximately 13 km from Mughalsarai railway station, 30 km from Varanasi, and 51 km from Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport. This industrial hub covers an expansive area of about 515 acres, featuring a 16.8 km road network and a 15.8 km drainage system, making it well-equipped for industrial growth.
Due to its advantageous location and connectivity, Ramnagar Industrial Area is emerging as a key future hub, poised for further development and economic significance.
.Key upgrades include:
Road Improvement: Approximately 3 km and 2.09 km of roads will be upgraded, featuring widened roads, interlocking pathways, and paved footpaths for better accessibility and traffic flow.
Water Supply: A new 300-meter deep tubewell with a 400 mm diameter will be installed, alongside a pumping plant, to enhance water distribution throughout the industrial area, ensuring a steady and reliable water supply.
Public Space Enhancement: Concrete slabs and benches will be constructed at park entrances and main roads to improve public spaces. Additionally, the Old Field Hostel and Police Post will be renovated to enhance the functionality of the area.
