In his speech, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath remarked, "It is a matter of immense pride for us to be part of the centenary celebrations of a remarkable individual whose life was rooted in the ideals of Sanatan Dharma and Lord Shri Ram. Yug Tulsi Pt. Ramkinkar Ji devoted his entire life to Shri Ram and Tulsi literature. His unique interpretations and perspectives will continue to inspire followers of Sanatan Dharma for generations."
Referring to the Yajurveda, CM Yogi highlighted the characteristics of great individuals, stating that the scriptures speak of two types of men: ‘Prakrit Purush’ and ‘Vishisht Purush.’ He emphasized that Ramkinkar Ji's life epitomized distinction, as his work and its impact demonstrated his ability to inspire society by thinking beyond the conventional.
Highlighting the distinctive style of Shri Ram Katha presented by Pt. Ramkinkar Upadhyay, the Chief Minister noted that he brought a new perspective to the Ramkatha. "His narratives impacted not just the common people but also esteemed figures like the nation's first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. For nearly six decades, he dedicated himself to serving Sanatan Dharma through ‘Manas.’"
The Chief Minister emphasized that it is the people's responsibility to honor such great individuals and to disseminate their teachings to the public.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath remarked that the birth centenary year of Pt. Ramkinkar Upadhyay is particularly significant, as it coincides with the year when Shri Ramlala has been enthroned in Ayodhya after 500 years.
He described this occurrence as a remarkable example of genuine faith and devotion, calling it a profound coincidence that reflects Ramkinkar Ji's unwavering faith and dedication.
Emphasizing the significant role of Pt. Ramkinkar Upadhyay's stories during the Ramjanmabhoomi movement, the Chief Minister stated, “The narratives of Ramkinkar Ji served to awaken the public much like Tulsidas Ji did during the era of foreign invaders. Tulsidas Ji refused to become a courtier to the then king, declaring Lord Shri Ram as the sole king of India. He initiated Ramlilas in every village, a tradition that continues today without government support, thereby strengthening the values of Sanatan Dharma.”
Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of preserving the memories of great individuals and sharing them with the public. “This year marks the birth centenary of Pt. Ramkinkar Upadhyay. We should compile his memories into a commemorative book and distribute it widely, ensuring that his life and work serve as an inspiration for future generations.”
The Chief Minister, in his remarks about Kishore Tandon, the organizer of the Bhavanjali program, noted that Tandon's maternal grandfather, Bishan Chandra Seth Ji, was a devoted follower of Gorakshapeeth. CM Yogi praised Bishan Chandra Seth Ji as a dedicated Hindu devotee and an exceptional interpreter of his time, who stood firm in his beliefs and never compromised his principles. He commended Tandon's family for continuing to uphold the same dedication and commitment.
