Lucknow: As per the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, 5,000 women candidates will be recruited as conductors on a contract basis in Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation. This recruitment initiative aims to empower women and foster employment growth, marking a significant step toward making women self-reliant and providing new job opportunities.
Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Dayashankar Singh, while sharing details of the recruitment, stated that it is mandatory for female candidates to have an Intermediate qualification and a CCC certificate. Additionally, candidates will receive a 5% weightage based on the following qualifications:
▪️ NCC 'B' Certificate
▪️ NSS Certificate
▪️ State Award Certificate from Bharat Scouts and Guides Institute
▪️ President's Award Certificate
To ensure convenience for female candidates, the government has directed that appointments will be made in the depot located in their home district. Conductors on a contract basis will be paid according to the permissible remuneration rates set by the Transport Corporation.
The Transport Minister also announced that Rozgar Melas will be organized in various cities from April 8 to April 17, 2025, as part of the recruitment process.

April 8: Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Bareilly, Ayodhya, Varanasi
April 11: Meerut, Etawah, Hardoi, Devipatan, Azamgarh
April 15: Saharanpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Chitrakootdham, Banda, Prayagraj
April 17: Noida, Agra, Moradabad, Lucknow, Gorakhpur

Women candidates will receive special training
Women candidates will undergo training under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission. If additional training courses are required, the Transport Corporation will provide the training, and the associated costs will be covered by the UP National Rural Livelihood Mission and the Skill Development Mission.
