Home Minister Amit Shah visited the sacred city of Prayagraj on Monday during the Mahakumbh, the grand festival of the Sanatan faith. Accompanied by his family, he took a holy dip in the Sangam, worshipped the Ganga, and visited the revered Akshayavat. Shah also shared a meal with saints and sadhus, embracing the spirit of Sanatan culture.
During his visit, the Home Minister met with Shankaracharya Vidhushekhar Bharti of Shringeri Peetha, Shankaracharya Nischalananda Saraswati of Puri Peetha, and Shankaracharya Swami Sadananda Saraswati of Dwarka Peetha. He sought their blessings, inquired about their well-being, and discussed arrangements for the Maha Kumbh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accompanied him during the visit.
The Shankaracharyas blessed Amit Shah and guided initiatives for the welfare and unity of Sanatan followers. Shankaracharya Vidhushekhar Bharti honored him with a coconut and a shawl, while others shared their wisdom on fostering the progress of Sanatan Dharma.
Amit Shah also visited the camp of Peethadheeshwar Kailashananda of Niranjani Akhara, further strengthening his spiritual connection during this divine journey.
