Lucknow News: Yogi govt to form a Technical Project Management Unit for revamping Basic and Secondary schools

• Various components of smart class including interactive board, interactive display, and modern audio-visual medium will be installed and operated
• UPLC will form a Technical Project Management Unit which will coordinate with the Basic and Secondary Education Department and will achieve the set goals
• Technical Project Management Unit to oversee smart class infrastructure development and prepare Detailed Project Report (DPR)

Lucknow: In alignment with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision for educational reform, the modernization of basic and secondary schools in Uttar Pradesh is advancing rapidly, with a strong emphasis on integrating cutting-edge technology. As part of this initiative, the government is set to implement smart classroom setups across schools. To facilitate this, a Technical Project Management Unit will soon be established. 

The Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Limited (UPLC) has been tasked with overseeing this initiative, and the process has already commenced.

To equip the state's basic and secondary schools with smart classrooms and e-learning systems, various components, including interactive boards, displays, and advanced audio-visual setups, will be installed and operated. 

A Technical Project Management Unit (TPMU) will be established to oversee the project. Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Limited (UPLC) will select a pre-empanelled agency to handle the task, and this selection process is already underway.  Once the agency is finalized, the TPMU will coordinate efforts between UPLC and the Basic and Secondary Education Departments to implement smart class infrastructure across the state's schools.

The first step will be the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR) by TPMU, outlining the plan to equip schools with smart class and e-learning systems, in collaboration with UPLC and the Education Department. Following this, the implementation will be carried out in phases according to the DPR, focusing on establishing and developing the required infrastructure. 

TPMU will operate for three years, during which it will monitor project progress, prepare regular reports, and manage key activities such as data analytics, resource allocation, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and risk management.
